Dortmund, 8 March 2010 - The jCatalog Software AG, a provider of product information management solutions, and the Intermoves GmbH, a provider of software and services for product data management, have formed a strategic partnership. In this part the product CatalogSync - in the HVAC industry known as DAVID - transferred to the jCatalog Software AG. Intermoves is working in the plumbing, heating and air conditioning industry (HVAC), paper, office and stationery goods industry (PBS) and the lock and fitting industry successfully. jCatalog takes over immediately so that all rights and obligations for DAVID are novated.
The acquisition is associated with a strategic partnership between Intermoves and jCatalog, for example in the range of product information management (PIM), parts information and product configurators. By working together the technical expertise of jCatalog and its standard software will merge with the industry and process expertise of the Intermoves.
In many industries, but particularly in the building services and office supplies industry, CatalogSync is well known as a standard tool. In the HVAC industry the software is used under the name DAVID. Around 200 companies are now using the product, almost 130 companies which are from the HVAC industry, including all members of ARGE Neue Medien.
For two years, the ARGE Neue Medien has used the software of jCatalog for their main platform and for catalog management.
